02. Is there a charge for an initial assessment?
Care for Seniors offers a FREE initial assessment visit, where we determine the required level of care, discuss the best possible care options and all other pertinent factors.
03. How does Care for Seniors screen its employees?
All caregivers employed by Care for Seniors are pre-screened through a comprehensive hiring process, which includes: Personal Interview, Criminal Background Check, TB Test or Chest X-Ray, Reference Check, Skills/Knowledge Test
04. Does Care for Seniors charge extra for night or weekend care?
No, the fees are set at one rate depending on the level of care required. The pricing is pre-determined during the assessment phase so that clients will not be charged extra for nights and weekends.
05. Does Care for Seniors provide twenty-four hour care?
Yes, Care for Seniors provides twenty-four hour service. The service can be arranged on hourly or live-in basis. Twenty-four hour care is often broken down into two to three shifts, up to 12 hours for each caregiver.
06. What is the minimum number of hours required per shift?
Care for Seniors minimum varies based on the area you are receiving care in.
07. How often does Care for Seniors reassess patient care?
The care management team conducts regular assessments at each client’s home. During these visits, the level of care provided and required is thoroughly examined to assure that all clients’ personal and health needs are met.
08. What if I am not satisfied with the caregiver?
Through personal interviews, we ascertain the necessary nuances and expectations to find the most compatible caregiver, on a personality and skill basis. However, in the rare instance when clients are not satisfied with their caregiver, Care for Seniors restarts the selection process to find a more suitable match.
09. Is Care for Seniors accessible after business hours and on weekends?
Care for Seniors has an assigned professional from our care management team answering the phones after hours and on the weekend, 24/7. By dialing the main office number you will be able to speak with our staff at any time.
10. Why should I go through an agency as opposed to independently hiring a caregiver?
By privately hiring an individual you become the employer. With that come liability risks, staffing responsibilities, and quality management. Care for Seniors provides worker’s compensation insurance, meets payroll requirements, insures and bonds all of its employees, assigns staffing managers to coordinate consistent staffing measures and conducts regular care assessments to monitor quality of care. It is Care for Senior’s responsibility to ensure the quality and level of care meets the expectations of each client.
11. What kind of insurance does your agency accept?
For in-home care services, Care for Seniors accepts long term care insurance as well as private pay arrangements. Medicare, Medical and other private medical insurances do not cover custodial (non-medical) care services.
